Arrival at the Colombo Airport. You will be met by our Driver/Guide and Airport Staff and offer assistance. Leave for Negombo

Day 2 Negombo – Anuradhapura - Polonnaruwa
After breakfast leave for Anuradhapura
Anuradhapura - the capital of Sri Lanka from the 05th Century B.C. to the end of the 10th Century A.D. was the most celebrated of Sri Lanka’s ancient ruined cities. The city’s greatest treasures are its dagobas constructed of bricks and are hemispherical in shape. The most notable of these dagobas are the Ruvanveliseya dating back to the 2nd Century B.C. and is 300 feet in diameter, the Jetawanarama is 370 feet and the Thuparama Dagoba is enshrined with the collarbone of the Buddha. The city’s most renowned relic is the sacred Bo Tree, which is said to have grown from a branch of the tree under which the Buddha gained Enlightenment. It was planted 2250 years ago and is the oldest historically authenticated tree in the world. Anuradhapura is a “World Heritage Site”.
On completion proceed to Polonnaruwa. Check-in to Hotel Deer Park

Day 3 Polonnaruwa – Habarana
After breakfast, visit the heritage sites in Polonnaruwa
Polonnaruwa - the Capital of Sri Lanka from 11th - 13th Century contains some splendid and spectacular statues. Lankatileke, Tivanka and Thuparama are the most beautiful and largest shrine ruins and Tivanka has the best example of frescoes of the Polonnaruwa period. Rankot Vihara and Kiriwehera are well preserved large stupas, and Gal Vihare - a rock shrine, has four Buddha statues, two seated, one standing and one reclining and Parakrama Bahu statue are examples of Sinhalese stone carver. The Vata-da-ge is a unique creation of the SriLankan artists.
On completion, proceed to Habarana.

After lunch, do a safari in Minneriya National Park, which is located between Habarana and Polonnaruwa, the 8890 hectares of MINNERIYA NATIONAL PARK is an ideal eco tourism location in Sri Lanka. The park consists of mixed evergreen forest and scrub areas and is home to Sri Lanka 's favourites such as sambar deer, leopards and elephants. Enjoy a ride on Elephant back through the jungles of Habarana.

Day 4 Habarana – Sigiriya – Dambulla -Matale- Kandy
After breakfast leave to Dambulla
En-route, visit the 5th century Sigiriya rock fortress which is a world heritage site, built by King Kashyapa during his reign 477-495 A.D. The 'Lion Rock' is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 meters from the scrub jungle. The rock was the innermost stronghold of the 70 hectare fortified town. A moat, rampart, and extensive gardens including the renowned water gardens ring the base of the rock. Visit the world-renowned frescoes of the 'Heavenly Maidens' of Sigiriya, which are in a sheltered pocket of the rock approached by a spiral stairway. These frescoes are painted in earth pigments on plaster.
Visit rock cave temple in Dambulla, which was donated by king Walagambahu in the 1st century BC to Buddhist monks. Dambulla is a World Heritage site and is the most impressive of Sri Lanka's cave temples. The complex of five caves with over 2000 sq. metres of painted walls and the ceiling is the largest area of paintings found in the world. These caves contain over 150 images of the Buddha of which the largest is the colossal figure of the Buddha carved out of rock spanning 14 meters.Lunch in a local restaurant in Kurunegala. In Matale to see the different spices, which Sri Lanka is famous for. You will be introduced to different spices and shown how some of these spices are grown and processed. Check in at the Mahaweli Reach Hotel Kandy
Kandy, the charming hill capital, cultural centre of the island and a World Heritage City. Nestling amidst low hills, and looped by the Mahaweli river, Sri Lanka's largest, Kandy is still the home of the arts and crafts, music and dance and song which flourished under the patronage of the Kandyan Kings. Many of the legends, tradition and folklore are still lovingly kept alive and also known as the most beautiful town in the island surrounded by hills, valleys, rivers and lakes.
Evening visit the Dalada Maligawa in Kandy. For Buddhists, Kandy is the sacred city. The focal point is the Dalada Maligawa, also known as the temple of Tooth, where the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha is enshrined, followed by a Cultural Dance Show and return to the Hotel

Day 5 Kandy / Colombo
After breakfast, proceed to Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya
6 km from Kandy town, which began as a pleasure garden for the Kings of Kandy, dates back to the reign of King Wickramabahu III, who reigned during the 14th century. This noted for its rich and varied collections of tropical plants, extent of 147 acres with more than 4000 species of plants. The most important specimen of the garden includes Palms, some of which are planted in impressive avenues.

Day 6 Colombo
After breakfast, do a city tour in Colombo
Colombo is a metropolitan city with a population of nearly one million. It is the commercial Capital of Sri Lanka, which keeps pace with modern developments while preserving the Old World charms. Among the many places of interest in the City are the Fort, the Old Parliament House (presently the Presidential Secretariat), Buddhist temples, Old Churches, Hindu temples, Mosques, the National Museum, Independence Hall, Bandaranaike Memorial International guest houses provide comfortable accommodation to the visitors at affordable prices. Several specialty restaurants serving international cuisine, karaoke bars, and discotheques keep the visitors happy late into the night. Dinner at Galle face hotel while watching the sun set.

Day 7 Colombo - Airport
After breakfast, if time permits do shopping in Colombo - visit Mlesna exquisite tea boutique, cashew nut shop, ready made garments and all sorts at Majestic City. Visit the Lanka Ceramics Centre, a place where you can buy “NORITAKE SET” or other ceramic items, visit the ‘ODEL SHOP’. Visit ’BAREFOOT’, ’HOUSE OF FASHION’ and 'BEVERLY HILLS'.
